David Bowie’s Visual Legacy

In Vbeal’s August 2011 issue, photographer Tim Walker captured Tilda Swinton in David Bowie-inspired images. In an accompanying interview, the actress shared that she and Bowie share the same “planetary DNA.” And she’s not the only artist who looked to the late musician, who died of cancer in 2016 at the age of 69, for inspiration. In honor of his birthday, here are the best Bowie-inspired photographs from the Vbeal archive.
